Happy New Year 2019!!!

Hi loves!

Can you believe 2019 is here?  I can't!  2018 was an eventful and exciting year as a small business owner.  I haven't really put much on this blog.  One of my goals is to continue putting thoughts and ideas into this blog.  I think being more personal here and help others learn more about my story and who I am as a person while sharing things going on in the shop.  I mean, that's why you're here right? lol.  I'm excited for 2019.  I've been thinking about change and goals.  Below are my top 5 changes I would like to work on the most:

  1. Save more money - I need to be better about saving.  Do I really need this?  Do I really need that? I need to keep asking myself those things while shopping.  I love traveling and would like to focus on setting money aside for traveling, future expenses, and to treat myself on a  rainy day.  It doesn't rain much in NM so I better have some good savings.
  2. Prepare more food at home - I eat out way too much.  My life is so fast paced and picking up food at Chick Fil A is so easy to grab.  It tastes so good as well :) I need to make more meal plans so I know exactly what goes into each dish.
  3. Less screen time - I spend way TOO much time on my phone and computer.  I need to spend my time writing in a journal, making weekly goals, cooking, baking, or hanging out with my family.  I think about all of the time wasted on this little screen when I could have spent it serving others.
  4. Read scriptures every day - I need to read scriptures or good wholesome magazines that will give me hope and uplift me everyday.  So much knowledge can be given to me by doing this step.  WHY ON EARTH IS IT HARD?  Once I get started, i'm okay but getting started is the hard part!  UGH.  WHY!?
  5. Be more patient - I expect results with myself and others so fast!  It doesn't work that way.  if it did then I might be more crazy than I am now.  I need to love myself and know that whatever goal I set is going to take some time.  I know that since I put this down that all the trials and tribulations are going to come my way and teach me patience the hard way.  ðŸ˜±
What are some goals/resolutions/change that you've made in the past or are making for the future?  How did they turn out?  Are you still working on them?

As always, with lots of love!

DIY Onsie Tutu

Make this easy do it for yourself tutu that is cheap and easy to make.  I will post how to make this tutu filled with pictures within the next week.  I have a brand new niece and i've been going crazy on making her all sorts of things.  Stay tuned!  If you have any questions, ask below or email me.

What you'll need:

  • Thread (I did white even though the tulle was purple)
  • 1 spool of 6-inch tulle (I got mine from Jo-Anns with a 50% coupon and spent $2.50)
  • 1 onsie
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Pen or marker

Get your stuff ready and lets make a cute tutu!

Here is my little niece in her tutu outfit when she turned 1 month!  So proud and so sad at the same time :(

You can always make a cute tulle bow to match the outfit.  Isn't she so darling?
